Met Museum Reflection

Image
One piece of artist production that I saw at the Metropolitan Museum of art was the Original beginnings of the Olympic games that were formed/started in Greece. This art piece is a Marble disc. That was part of Discus games, one of the original games in the Olympics. This art piece was crafted from marble and given form in the shape of a circle/disc. This heavy piece of Greek History was throw as far as the completer physically can trying to get the farest distances possible. Here the guide show us how Hercules looked. In this art piece it was showed to us Hercules and his signature lion sign. And is showed as this strong confidence guy, He was really important in the roman history.

3 letters + word

I chose the letter E because it’s simple to draw, consisting mostly of straight lines. The most challenging part of coloring it was carefully handling the corners and avoiding going outside the lines. I picked the letter C because it’s also easy to draw and I thought it would complement the E well. For the letter O, I chose it because it’s simple to draw with just one curve, making it easier to color neatly. I picked the word ‘Youth’ because it seemed to fit perfectly with the design. Overall, I focused on selecting the best-looking letters from each font, experimenting with different placements for each, and then searching for a five-letter word that blended well with the overall composition.

I chose the letter J for similar reasons—it’s also simple to draw with just one curve, which made it much easier to color neatly. For the J, I used the Bodoni (modern) font because it has a nice curve and pairs well with the slab serif. Finally, I picked the letter Q in the Baskerville (transitional) font because it looks unique and helped me follow Mr. Hadel’s instruction to let the letter break out of the box. When combined, KQJ looks and sounds cool I picked the letter I because it’s really simple to draw, mostly made up of straight lines. The hardest part of coloring it was getting the corners right without going outside the lines. The font I used for t...
